Description: TRIM stands for the command that makes it possible for the OS to alert an SSD which data blocks are obsolete. As opposed to a conventional hard drive, the SSD works with flash memory and requires erasing of bigger blocks before using them again. TRIM enables an SSD to recognize obsolete data and deal with it accordingly. It does not affect the write speed and allows the proper storage management. TRIM is not a recovery program or some utility for deleting files manually. TRIM is just a function for storage management.
